On January 18, 2013, NYAAF board members Alison Turkos and Phillip Kim testified before the New York City Council Committee for Women’s Issues on a resolution commemorating the 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade and calling on the US Congress to fund comprehensive reproductive health care, including abortion. This is the first time NYAAF has provided testimony, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to report that the resolution passed!
